Đề 11 — Daily Routine + English Learning

Nguồn: Đề thi thật VSTEP B1 (12/2019 – 12/2020)

1. What is your daily routine?

Every day, I wake up at 6 o’clock in the morning. After that, I wash my face, brush my teeth, and have breakfast. I usually go to school at 7 a.m. After school, I come home around 5 p.m., have dinner with my family, and then do my homework. Before going to bed, I like to watch TV or read a book.

2. What part of the day do you like most?

The part of the day I like most is the evening. After a long day at school, I can finally relax and do things I enjoy. I usually spend time with my family, watch movies, or chat with my friends online. It makes me feel happy and comfortable.

3. Do you think it is important to have a daily routine?

Yes, I think having a daily routine is very important. Firstly, it helps me manage my time better, so I don’t waste time. Secondly, when I have a routine, I feel more organized and less stressed. Without a routine, I would forget many things and feel confused.

4. What is the busiest part of the day for you?

The busiest part of my day is the morning. I have to get ready very quickly because my class starts early. I need to eat breakfast, prepare my books, and catch the bus to school. Sometimes, I feel very rushed and don’t have enough time for everything.

1. Do you like learning English?

Yes, I really like learning English. I think English is a useful language because many people around the world speak it. Moreover, learning English helps me watch movies and listen to songs without subtitles, which is very enjoyable.

2. Why did you learn English and how did you learn it?

I started learning English when I was in primary school because it was a required subject. At first, I learned it at school with my teacher. Later, I also learned by watching English videos on YouTube and reading simple stories. I think practicing every day is the best way to improve.

3. Will you study another language in the future?

Yes, in the future, I would like to learn Korean. I love watching Korean dramas, and I want to understand them without subtitles. Besides, knowing more languages can help me get a better job and communicate with more people.

Your friend is going to study abroad. You want to give a gift. Which would you choose: a book, a self-designed photo album, or a silk scarf?

I would choose a self-designed photo album. I think it is the best gift for my friend who is going to study abroad.

The first reason is that the photo album is very meaningful. It contains pictures of our happy memories together, like trips, parties, and school days. When my friend feels homesick in a foreign country, she can look at the photos and feel better.

The second reason is that this gift is very unique and personal. I designed it by myself, so it shows how much I care about my friend. No one can buy this gift in any store.

I would not choose a book because I don’t know what kind of book my friend likes, and she might already have it. As for the silk scarf, it is nice but it doesn’t have any personal meaning. It is like a gift you buy in a hurry.

In short, a self-designed photo album is the best choice because it is meaningful, unique, and shows my love for my friend.

Impacts of free wifi at university (positive and negative).

Today, I would like to talk about the impacts of free wifi at university. I think free wifi brings both positive and negative effects on students.

Firstly, free wifi has many positive impacts. Students can easily search for materials and download documents for their studies. They don’t need to go to the library every time they need information. In addition, free wifi helps students save money because they don’t have to buy expensive data packages every month. This is especially helpful for students from poor families.

However, free wifi also has some negative impacts. Many students use wifi to play online games or browse social media during class time. This is a big distraction and they cannot concentrate on their lessons. As a result, their grades may become worse. Moreover, some students stay up late at night because they can use the internet for free, which is bad for their health.

In conclusion, free wifi at university is very useful for studying, but students need to use it wisely and not waste time on entertainment during class.

You are planning a honeymoon trip next month. Write a letter to an event organiser to ask about: location (beach, mountain, or island), price, and activities.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to inquire about honeymoon trip packages for next month. My husband and I are planning our honeymoon and we would like to get some information from your company.

Firstly, I would like to know about the locations you offer. We are interested in going to a beach, a mountain area, or an island. Could you please recommend the best destination for a couple? We prefer a place that is quiet and romantic.

Secondly, I would like to ask about the price. How much does a 5-day trip cost per person? Does the price include hotel, meals, and transportation? In addition, is there any discount if we book early?

Finally, could you please tell me about the activities available at the destination? We enjoy water sports like swimming and snorkeling. We would also like to know if there are romantic dinners on the beach or sightseeing tours.

I would appreciate it if you could reply at your earliest convenience. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully, Nguyen Thi Mai

Computers play an important role in the classroom. Some people think that in the future, teachers will not be necessary anymore. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, computers are becoming more and more popular in schools and universities. Some people believe that computers will replace teachers in the future. However, I strongly disagree with this idea, and I will explain my reasons below.

It is true that computers are very useful in education. Students can use computers to search for information on the internet, watch online lessons, and do exercises on learning apps. Moreover, computers can help students study anytime and anywhere, which is very convenient. Therefore, some people think that teachers are no longer needed.

However, I believe that teachers are still very important and computers cannot replace them. Firstly, teachers can motivate and inspire students to study harder. A good teacher knows how to encourage weak students and help them believe in themselves. A computer cannot do this. Secondly, teachers can understand students’ emotions and problems. When a student is sad or stressed, a teacher can talk to them and give advice. A computer does not have feelings. Finally, young children need teachers to guide them and manage the classroom. Without teachers, students might play games on computers instead of studying.

In conclusion, although computers are helpful tools in education, they cannot replace teachers. Teachers play an irreplaceable role in helping students learn and grow. I believe that in the future, teachers and computers will work together to make education better.
